Ramblings of the NWA XD
As I was saying………

I’m a little behind, but this has been a rough week for those of us in the NWA family. You don’t lose somebody like Ed Chuman and just proceed on with business as usual. But Eddie was all about the business, and he would want us to keep moving forward.

So, as I was saying a little over a week ago, are you just giddy with all the “new” stuff at TNA? Let’s see, we have Eric Bischoff getting himself over, Sean Morley/Val Venis going over Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe not appearing on a PPV, the Nasty Boys in a feud with the Dudleys (with Bubba calling the Nastys fat—you can’t make that up), Nash and Hall still in the ring……..well, that’s enough don’t you think?

WWE is building towards Vince McMahon v. Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels v. The Undertaker. In 2010.

If you are a fan of pro wrestling, what you need to be doing is going out and supporting promotions that will honor the old, but also bring you the new. THAT is what the NWA is about. Look at this weekend. You have NWA shows in Wisconsin, New York, and right here in Charlotte, NC. NWA Unplugged in Wisconsin is bringing you guys like Dinn T. Moore and the McCoy Brothers. I’ve seen these guys wrestle—they can go! NWA Capital in NY has a loaded card featuring Colin Delaney and Danny Doring. Finally, here in Charlotte, NWA National Champ Shatter is defending against NWA Anarchy TV champ Caprice Coleman. You want something new and fresh? You want to see guys putting it all out there every night? GO TO THESE SHOWS! Most have extremely affordable ticket prices, and are the soul of fan-friendly. Or you can sit at home and watch DX and their midget mascot, and Hulk Hogan put the camera on his kids in the audience. Which is pro wrestling?
