Ramblings of the NWA XD
The loss of a character

Ed Chuman died yesterday. I’m still having trouble getting my mind around that one. That I won’t see him anymore, or that I won’t hear that voice. That voice—the gravelly, expletive-filled voice that WAS Ed Chuman. He could be cranky and impatient, and that’s putting it mildly. But deep down, Eddie was one of the sweetest, most good-hearted people you will meet. And the maker of the best damn peppermint bark ever made. Every year at Christmas, a box would arrive at my home. I would have to fight the rest of my family to get any. Even this year, when his health was failing, there it was.

Eddie was a character. In a world of chocolate and vanilla, Ed was rocky road. But he also HAD character. And that is something that is all too often lacking in the wrestling business. He loved wrestling, he lover wrestlers, and he loved the NWA. I will miss him terribly.
